The board of trustees’ members of the commercial units of Tekeh Dowlat alley, with the presence in the management office of Golestan Palace world heritage complex, express their appreciation to the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, Deputy Minister and Vice Minister for cultural heritage, Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, and the director of this world complex for establishing communication between the Golestan Palace and Takiyeh Dowlat.
According to the public relations of the Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex report, Afrin Emami said: In Nowruz 1403, it was possible for people to have the experience of entering the Golestan Palace through the gate of Takiyeh Dowlat alley.
The director of Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex continued: By reopening of this gate, Takiyeh Dowlat Alley as one of the historical passages which had lost its identity due to neglect over the past many years and became a gathering place for drug addicts and a garbage dump, was revived and paid attention to, so that the historical context and privacy of this valuable complex can be kept from the unfavorable situation.
Emami clarified: Another positive aspect of this matter is the interaction between this historical passage and Golestan Palace and strengthening the economy of both sides. So that the visitors to the gold market of Takiyeh Dowlat tend to visit the palace and also the tourists who come to visit the Golestan Palace become interested to purchase from the jewelry stores located in this area. In this way, it has created a two-way economic prosperity.
The Director of Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex continued: We are also witnessing a change in the social context of the passage due to the presence of cultural and artistic persons.
It should be noted that Takiyeh Dowlat gate creates an effective connection between Golestan Palace and Sabzeh Meidan and the entrance of the bazaar, and it provides the shortest distance between Golestan Palace and the bazaar, which has thousands of visitors every day. Also, facilitating the entry of visitors and preventing the gathering to enter Golestan Palace is also provided during Nowruz, which is one of the busiest and most visited days throughout the year.
