The painting and organizing of the Golestan Palace's Hozkhaneh Museum has begun, the director of the Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex has announced the beginning of the painting and organizing of the Hozkhaneh Museum of this world heritage complex, which is the place to store and display paintings and some objects presented by European kings to the Qajar court.
According to the public relations of the Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex report, Afarin Emami said: Hozkhaneh Museum is one of the museum sections on the north side of Golestan Palace, which is located on the ground floor (below the ivory hall) of the main part of this complex. In 1997, Hozkhaneh became a museum to display paintings and some objects presented by European kings to the Qajar court.
She continued: Since more than 25 years that the last painting done in the Hozkhaneh museum, the surface of the walls has suffered from contamination and minor cracks due to dust and the installation of signs during this period. Therefore, the operation of painting and organizing the Hozkhaneh Museum began.
The director of the Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex added: Also to carry out this operation, all the objects and paintings have been packed and taken out from the site.
Emami pointed out: In this project, the extras in the walls (including connections, wires, and additional equipment) that lead to visual distortions were removed from the walls and ceiling, and more appropriate and safer connections and arrangements will be used for re-installing the signs that some of them are also very large.
