The director of the world heritage complex of Golestan Palace announced the plans of
the Muharram days, including the continuation of the successful restoration project of
the Ashura screen and the performance of dozens of religious rituals in this world
complex.
According to the Public Relations of the Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex report,
Afarin Emami said: In the first ten days of Muharram, a religious ritual program is
performed in the courtyard of the Badgir mansion.
Emami said: During these days, the implementation of anthropological programs
including the introduction of Ashura hall, inlaid pulpit along with meetings and religious
speeches are carried out.
Referring to the unveiling of the book of dervish screens of Golestan Palace in the first
ten days of Muharram, she added: In continuation of the successful project of restoring
dervish screens two years ago, the restoration process of another dervish screen will
also be done under the supervision of the General Directorate of Museums and the
cooperation of the Restoration Research Institute of the Cultural Heritage Research
Institute.
