The director of Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex explained the plans for commemorating World Museum Day and Cultural Heritage Week.

According to the public relations of the Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex report, Afarin Emami said: On the occasion of World Museum Day and Cultural Heritage Week, many programs will be held, including the opening of exhibitions and holding specialized meetings.

She continued: The “Tanbour Night” program with the presence of Heidar Kaki will be held on May 18 from 5 to 7 pm in this world complex. Also, a specialized meeting on the culture and ritual of Tanbour music will be held on this day, along with the unveiling of the newly published Parsan Music book, with the performance of the Vale band and the display of tanbour illustrations in muraqqa Golshan.

Emami added: The "Art of Iran" exhibition through the lens of Godar’s camera with the works of artist Zahra Keramat will be opened in Goshwareh room of Marble Throne Terrace on May 18.

She said: A photo exhibition of the images available in the collection of Album Khaneh and with the theme of Hyrcanian forests, Iranian railways and caravansaries (Registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List) will be opened at the Photo Gallery Museum on May 19. Also, the ethnic clothing exhibition will be opened on this day in the Anthropology Museum of Golestan Palace.

Emami continued: On May 20, the calligraphy works of Seyyed Hassan Chavoshi exhibition will be opened in the Museum of Anthropology on the occasion of the blessed birthday of Hazrat Ali bin Musa al-Reza (AS) with the slogan of religious heritage and Razavi's heritage during Dignity Week. Comprehensive discussions on the protection of historical areas and the issue of residents' participation will be held in Bab Aali Mansion with speeches by Kamran Zekawat, Mehdi Mojabi, Morvarid Ghasemi and Mostafa Pour Ali.

She added: a specialized meeting titled Golestan Palace, Living Heritage, Resilience and Adaptability and with the speech of Dr. Iskandar Mokhtari and Mir Seyysed Ahmad Mohit Tabatabai will be held at the Museum of Anthropology (Abyaz Palace) on May 21.

Emami said: Also, on May 22, an art and architecture workshop for children will be held in the courtyard of Badgir Mansion, with holding an educational workshop on understanding Qajar architecture through the lens of Golestan Palace, creativity with bricks, building lines, geometry and motifs, and tile stories. Also, a special educational workshop for children and adolescents will be held with the title of “An Oldness with Today's Color” on Cultural Heritage Day - The Alphabet of Life.

The director of the Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex noted: A special visit of veterans to this world complex will be held on May 23.
